Project

Therapy Solutions Inc. was about to celebrate 25 years in business and as the marketing director at the time, I wanted to find an appropriate way to commemorate this milestone. I coordinated with all of the providers and some of the families we serviced to film some of the stories of their time being a part of the Therapy Solutions family. I interviewed them about their beginnings, their experience, and how Therapy Solutions had impacted their lives.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges of this project was working around the limitations of COVID-19 since all the services provided were in-person. The transition to remote for providers and office staff made coordinating interviews exponentially difficult. Now, we were working around people's availability with the additional factor of their willingness to be part of the short documentary.

Another challenge of this project was time. Being the sole coordinator of this project (on top of performing my primary administrative duties), time was of the essence. With only 3 months to schedule all interviews, record, edit, and produce this short film, time management was key.

Outcome

Although many challenges were present during the creation of this project, it was a very rewarding experience that allowed me to learn a lot about how to navigate difficult situations. Understanding that there were going to be barriers along the way as the landscape of the pandemic progressed and staying positive and optimistic were key elements to making sure this project got completed.

During the celebration, all attendees, both virtual and in-person, were able to reminisce on the rich history of the company and the impact it has had on the local community. For myself, it felt great to be able to leave something behind that captured the essence of what Therapy Solutions Inc. is all about.
