Context

The VEX Robotics Professional Development Plus (PD+) offers educational content primarily targeted toward educators to grow their knowledge of robotics ranging from simple examples to complex coding projects.

Project Goal

The primary goal of this project was to provide better course progress tracking for users to have a more comprehensive overview of where they left off. The project was composed of two main components.

1. To display a call-to-action card on the user's dashboard that would redirect the user to continue to the next available lesson in the course they had started.
2. To display a visual indicator next to each completed lesson within the course that would let the user know this content has been accessed and completed.

Project Outcome

With an easy-to-use dashboard that indicates and links to where the user left off, we were able to eliminate any ambiguity between the user and their learning experience. Many teachers value the time saved and the ability to quickly navigate to an incomplete course rather than trying to remember their progress and traverse the multiple layers of navigation required to access a lesson or quiz.
